The whole month of May I have been asking myself: “What is my path?”. A way of finding answers to our questions is by looking at signs that we are given. They are out there; only we need to sit still from time to time to actually become aware of them. So some others and I did. We asked ourselves a specific question and kept on repeating it whilst ‘reading’ the given signs. Learn from our stories and read on and find out more on: ‘How to get more clarity in life?’.

One sign was given to me by a Yoga student during a retreat that I was hosting via Breathspiration in Randa, Mallorca. Even though I was hosting a retreat, I was wondering what my value is as a teacher. We all have self-doubt from time to time. At least I know I do. So during dinner we spoke about our life’s questions. My student’s response to my question: “Your path? You are on it! It is exactly what you have been doing with me all week: Yoga + Self-Inquiry Meditations to make me find my own answers!”.
I just love self-inquiry meditations and I am so happy that my Yoga retreat student confirmed to me that it had supported her too. Would you like to give it a try straight away?

During one of the next retreats I asked two young, energetic and lovely Yoga teachers who were hosting a Yoga retreat, what Yoga related questions were keeping them busy. One teacher expressed her struggle with the topic of self-care: “What are my boundaries?”. We did a self-inquiry meditation and within eight steps she had found her answers. Read more about it here. “You slow me down I NEED that. I am stressed. Very, Very stressed. Look what it did to my body. Everything is tense!”.
The sign on how we can recharge came from another amazingly kind woman who had attended my Yin Yoga classes together with her partner. She kept on saying: “What happened to me? A few months ago I was able to do all of these Yoga poses. Look at my body now! A few months ago I was radiating health just like you!”.
She indeed was struggling with the Yin Yoga practice and as she said I was giving her exactly what she and her partner needed: “You slow me down I NEED that. I am stressed. Very, Very stressed. Look what it did to my body. Everything is tense!”.
Try this …
- Sit down.
- Slow down.
- Focus on your breath, your body, heart and mind.
- Ask yourself YOUR question.
- Sit down. Stay still. Listen. What can you hear?
